Healthy Sex Awareness.

There are many times when women encounter men who do not want to use protection even though they know you are not on birth control. I want to share something someone older than me shared years ago. He was a man and his statement rings true everytime.

He said, "a man who cares about you will not put you through unnecessary risks. Wearing condoms is easier than having an abortion and a man who cares about you will be conscious enough to understand that"

The moment you sit on a bed, naked, with a man who feels condoms are too uncomfortable, remember you are communicating with a person who is selfish enough to put your health at risk, and wear your clothes and go home.

You should never have to negotiate for something as vital as using protection but those things happen. And they happen too often. And they happen because of selfishness.

Pregnancy is risky and expensive. Abortions are equally expensive and they are not easily accessible. You should never have sex with a person who does not factor in those fundamental truths. They do not care about you or your well being.

They will say condoms are uncomfortable and then abandon you to raise a child on your own. They will say they are uncomfortable and then refuse to pay the 6k needed to send it back to the sender . And because you are a woman, you will endure all those consequences alone and you should never have to. A man's sexual pleasure is not more important than your well being. 

You should never be with someone who delights in making you carry the burden of contraception alone. If both of you do not want to have kids, you both have the responsibility to ensure it doesn't happen and there is nothing funny about a m.a.n refusing to put on a condom because he knows you will take the morning after pill anyway.

That is cruelty. That is selfishness. That is a lack of care and you should not be sleeping with people who do not care about you.
