He was a man and his statement rings true everytime. He said, "a man who cares about you will not put you through unnecessary risks. I know so many wealthy parents who are in society-approved unions, and when you see and listen to their children, you want to immediately go blind, cover your ears, and never hear anything again. The shame that comes with the irresponsible choices of men, has always been placed on the shoulders of women. I saw it yesterday and I finally understood why women opt to cover up for irresponsible men. The world will always pick their side A wom.an gets beaten up and the question that people are quick to ask is why she picked him and not why we live in a world that gives m.e.π that impunity to abuse women. I have never been abused physically by a maπ but I live with the knowledge that by the age of 50, one in three women will have experienced intimate partner violence.  What those numbers tell you is that it isn't about the choices women make. It is a lack of accountability towards the perpetrators of violence. Men beat up women because they know they can get away with it.
